What is this medicine used for?
- For the treatment of hypertension and angina pectoris.
How much and how often should you use this medicine?
The dose should be adjusted to the individual requirements of the patient. Felodipine 5 mg modified-release tablet should usually administered as follows: The recommended initial dose is 5 mg once daily. If necessary the dose maybe increased to 10 mg once daily or another hypertensive agent added. Dose increases should occur at intervals of at least 2 weeks. The usual maintenance dose is 5-10 mg once daily. The maximum daily dose is 10 mg.
Contraindications
- Diagnosed with severe aortic or mitral stenosis, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, unstable angina pectoris, decompensated heart failure
- Pregnancy
