What is this medicine used for?
For Cefalexin suspension:Use in adult: 250mg every 6 hours ( Maximum dose: 4g/day) Usual Pediatric Dose: 25 to 50 mg/kg body weight/day to be given in equally divided doses every 6 hours. For Cefalexin capsule:? Cefalexin is administered orally.? Usual Adult Dose: 250 mg every 6 hours(Maximum Dose: 4 g/day)

Contraindications
For Cefalexin suspension:? Known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins, penicllins, or any component of the product.For Cefalexin capsule:? Hypersensitivity to Cefalexin or any ingredient in the product? Alcohol: avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine? Probenecid: as with other bet-lactam antibiotics, the renal excretion of Cefaclor is inhibited by probenecid? Aminoglycosides (Streptomycin, Kanamycin, Gentamicin): may increase the risk of kidney toxicity
